D&D 4th Edition

After a couple playing sessions with the 4th Edition of Dungeons and Dragons… I’m not convinced.
I’ve been the Dungeon Master, with a group of longtime friends (and D&Ders) as players. We’ve played together through various versions for the last… oh… at least 20 years. So we generally know what we’re doing. But somehow, the change from 3.5 to 4 seems really, really big to me. Maybe that’s because it is.
Anyway, we’ve still been having fun, which is the important part. But I’m reserving my final opinion of 4E for now. Maybe once I’ve got more experience with it, I’ll think it’s the cat’s pajamas. Or maybe not.
First slice…

Okay, so I’m sitting at my desk working, and drawing a blank on something. I can’t quite figure it out… so I need a break. A distraction. Something to jog my mind out of whatever rut it’s in. So, of course, I turn to my email — it usually does the trick.
This time, there was a message from my brother. A mini life-update type message. All the things that are going on — how’s the apartment, unpacking stuff sucks, relationships, jobs, politics, etc. And at the end, a quick solicitation for everyone to do the same: send an update on our lives.
Well, that sounded like a blog to me. So, here’s a blog.
